Its fruity frankness, its spicy aromas call for fine cured meats, white meat with spicy sauces, roasted poultry, grilled red meats, mushroom omelet, beef stew and fresh pasta, veal kidneys. The Mont d’Or, Saint-Nectaire, Reblochon and Époisses cheeses will go well with this wine.
